Hadith 6255

Narrated by Sayyiduna Khalid bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever receives some wealth from his brother without asking for it and without greed, then he should accept it and not reject it, for it is sustenance that Allah Almighty has granted him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In these two hadiths, the extremely important point that has been stated is that a servant should be independent of the wealth and possessions of people, and should not harbor any greed or covetousness towards anyone. This will happen when a person works hard and exerts effort according to his ability, and tries to live an honorable life by managing with his modest earnings. In such a case, if he receives something from any direction, he should accept it with an open heart.
