عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَأْخُذَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ مَتَاعَ صَاحِبِهِ جَادًّا وَلَا لَاعِبًا وَإِذَا وَجَدَ وَفِي لَفْظٍ وَإِذَا أَخَذَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَصَا صَاحِبِهِ فَلْيَرُدَّهَا عَلَيْهِ
Abdullah bin Sa’ib narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should actually take his companion’s belongings, nor in jest; if someone picks up his brother’s staff, he should return it to him.
