Hadith 6161

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَحَاطَ حَائِطًا عَلَى أَرْضٍ فَهِيَ لَهُ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever surrounds a piece of land with a wall, it will belong to him.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … By this "enclosure" is meant reviving and cultivating the land; it does not mean that one simply builds a boundary wall to take possession and derives no benefit from it.
