Hadith 6154

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ لُقْمَانَ الْحَكِيمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا اسْتُودِعَ شَيْئًا حَفِظَهُ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Luqman the Wise used to say that when something is entrusted to Allah Almighty, He protects it.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … When the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would bid farewell to a person setting out on a journey, he would supplicate with this prayer: "Astawdi‘u Allah deenaka wa amanataka wa khawateema ‘amalik." … "I entrust your religion, your trust, and the final outcomes of your deeds to Allah, the Exalted." (Tirmidhi: 3443)
