عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ اسْتِئْجَارِ الْأَجِيرِ حَتَّى يُبَيَّنَ لَهُ أَجْرُهُ وَعَنِ النَّجْشِ وَاللَّمْسِ وَإِلْقَاءِ الْحَجَرِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) forbade employing a laborer before determining his wages, forbidden najsh sale, forbidden sale by touching, and forbidden sale by throwing a stone.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The explanation of najsh sale (bay‘ najsh) and sale by touch (bay‘ lams) has already been given earlier. By "throwing a stone" is meant the sale by pebbles (bay‘ hasat), and its explanation has also been given earlier.
