Narrated from Sayyiduna Ma’n bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with them), he says: My father, my grandfather, and I pledged allegiance to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he arranged my engagement and also performed my marriage. One day, my father, Sayyiduna Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him), went out with a dinar to give in charity and placed it with a man in the mosque (so that he could give it to someone), but I myself took it from him and brought it home. My father said: By Allah! I did not intend to give it to you. So I took him along and brought this dispute to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Yazid! What you intended has been fulfilled, and O Ma’n! What you have taken with your intention is for you.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The intention of our master Yazid radi Allahu anhu was that his agent would distribute this amount among the needy. Since his own son was included among the needy, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam validated this charity.
