Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever kills intentionally, he shall be handed over to the heirs of the slain; if they wish, they may kill him, and if they wish, they may take blood money. And the detail of the blood money is: thirty hiqqahs, thirty jadha’ahs, and forty pregnant she-camels. This is the blood money for intentional murder, and in addition to this, whatever is agreed upon in reconciliation is also included. This is the severe blood money.
