وَعَنْهَا أَيْضًا قَالَتْ اشْتَرَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ طَعَامًا نَسِيئَةً فَأَعْطَاهُ دِرْعًا لَهُ رَهْنًا
It is also narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) bought grain on credit from a Jew and kept his armor with him as collateral.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From this it is also understood that while exercising caution regarding weapons and similar items that could harm non-Muslims, trade of other goods with non-Muslims is permissible.
