Hadith 6019

(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: After attaining peace, do not put your souls into fear. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! How is that? He, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: By taking a loan.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Whether anyone acknowledges it or not, the debtor’s peace is destroyed; he becomes afflicted with a strange kind of inferiority complex. One has to go through great trouble to recover a debt. If he is unable to pay on time, he has to listen to humiliating remarks, and in such a situation, a person begins to hide from his creditor. The soul becomes accustomed to hearing dishonorable words, and at times, one has to lose his dignity and honor in a public gathering. Added to this is the fact that, due to breaking promises and lying, his reputation in society is severely damaged. These very hardships have been described by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as “fear.”
