Narrated by Sayyiduna Muslamah bin Makhlad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim in this world, Allah Almighty will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever relieves a person in distress, Allah Almighty will relieve him of one of the calamities of the Day of Judgment. And whoever remains engaged in helping his brother, Allah Almighty will remain engaged in fulfilling his needs.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Giving a loan is the most virtuous act; the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has declared it to be charity (sadaqah). Furthermore, there is another hadith regarding this:

Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrates from his father, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say: “Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty, for every day (of respite) he will have a reward equal to that (amount) in charity (sadaqah).” He said: Then I heard him say: “Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty, for every day (of respite) he will have a reward equal to twice that (amount) in charity (sadaqah).” I said: O Messenger of Allah! I heard you say earlier: “Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty, for every day (of respite) he will have a reward equal to that (amount) in charity (sadaqah),” and then I heard you say: “Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty, for every day (of respite) he will have a reward equal to twice that (amount) in charity (sadaqah)?” He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam replied: “For every day before the debt becomes due, he will have a reward equal to that (amount) in charity (sadaqah), and when the debt becomes due and he still grants respite, then for every day (of respite) he will have a reward equal to twice that (amount) in charity (sadaqah).” (Musnad Ahmad: 5/360)
