Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah Salami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person stands for ablution with the intention of prayer and lets the water of ablution reach its prescribed places, he becomes purified from his sins or mistakes. Then, if he stands for prayer, Allah Almighty raises his rank, and if he sits down, he sits down purified from sins."
