عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَهَى نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُكْسَرَ سِكَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ الْجَائِزَةُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا مِنْ بَأْسٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade breaking the currency in circulation among the Muslims, except in case of necessity.
