عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ فَأَتَمَّ وَضُوءَهُ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَأَتَّمَ صَلَاتَهُ خَرَجَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ كَمَا خَرَجَ مِنْ بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ))
Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, when a servant performs ablution and completes the ablution, then begins the prayer and performs the prayer completely, he becomes purified from his sins just as he was when he came out of his mother's womb."
