Muhammad, while narrating an incident, says: When he came, Abdullah was given the choice between thirty thousand and silver vessels; he chose the vessels. Then, when traders came from (the region of Bahrain) Darin, Abdullah sold them ten of those silver vessels in exchange for thirteen vessels. Then, when he met Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: Do you know how I deceived them? He asked: How? Then he explained the whole detail. Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I urge you or I swear to you that you must return this transaction, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade such trade.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It appears that this was a sale of silver for silver, in which a greater amount was received from one side. This detail is based on the hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah radi Allahu anhu, in which he has mentioned the condition of selling silver for silver and gold for gold in equal amounts. This hadith is found in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
