Uthman bin Abdullah bin Suraqah says: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the sale of fruits. He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of fruits until the fear of calamity had passed. I asked: And when does that happen? He said: When the Thurayya star appears.
