It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling fruit before its goodness becomes apparent. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is the manifestation of its goodness? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When its time of affliction has passed and the good fruit becomes evident.
