Brief Explanation
Benefits: … There are several forms of the sale involving pebbles: (1) The seller says to the buyer: When I throw the pebble, the transaction will be finalized. (2) The buyer says: I will throw the pebble; whichever cloth it lands on, that will become mine for such-and-such price. (3) Similarly, every transaction that, due to ignorance, falls into this category and is based on the pebble, for example, in the sale of land, if either the seller or the buyer says that he will throw the pebble, and wherever it reaches, the sale of that portion of land will be concluded for such-and-such amount, and so on by analogy.
