Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Along with evidences, the implication of this hadith and its analysis is that it is permissible to take the price of a hunting dog, because it is established from various ahadith that keeping a hunting dog is permissible, and like other lawful things, the price of such a thing is also permissible. As Imam Abu Ja‘far Tahawi has presented a detailed investigation of this issue in (Sharh al-Ma‘ani: 2/225–229), you should refer to it; it is an important discussion.
