Hadith 5751

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: O Umm Hani! Raise goats, for they return in the evening with goodness and go out in the morning with goodness.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Goats possess a remarkable kind of goodness and blessing. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has declared them to be animals of Paradise. Among them, the cycle of birth occurs twice a year, and they give birth to two or three offspring at a time. Their temperament is characterized by humility and gentleness; there is absolutely no element of rebellion or defiance in them, and this very temperament is transferred to their owners. Simple food suffices for them; whenever desired, their milk can be drawn. Their meat is extremely excellent, and slaughtering them and preparing their meat is very easy. It seems as if the goat, like the rabbit and the deer, appears to be a very beautiful and affectionate creature. Furthermore, study the next narration carefully.
