عَنْ جُمَيْعِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ خَالِهِ قَالَ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَفْضَلِ الْكَسْبِ فَقَالَ بَيْعٌ مَبْرُورٌ وَعَمَلُ الرَّجُلِ بِيَدِهِ
Jameel bin Umair narrates from his maternal uncle (Sayyiduna Abu Burdah bin Niyar, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "What is the best means of livelihood?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "A blessed (honest) trade and a man's earning through his own hand."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … By "blessed sale" (bay‘ mabrur) is meant that trade in which there is no doubt or dishonesty. By earning through one's hand is meant farming, craftsmanship, and similar professions.
