It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A time will surely come upon people when a person will not care whether he is acquiring wealth through lawful means or unlawful.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It can be said that the vast majority of Muslims in the present era have fulfilled this prophecy of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam; people are simply not prepared to think seriously about matters of lawful (halal) and unlawful (haram). Even among those apparently associated with the devout and worshipful class, this capacity has diminished. Consider the following situations:
Employment in banks, employment in insurance companies, business involving tobacco and other intoxicating substances, transactions involving clear usury (riba) and bribery, concealing defects and lying at the time of buying and selling, earnings from shaving, threading, and plucking, business of shaving instruments, the price of dogs, selling a purchased item before taking possession of it, hoarding, riba al-fadl in the buying and selling of gold, committing many unlawful acts under the guise of beauty parlors, stealing phone and mobile balance, electricity and gas, arranging clear unlawful acts in homes through computers and televisions, clear forms of gambling, doctors performing operations to obtain wealth and money even when there is no need for surgery in many illnesses, most people not fulfilling the rights of their duty and responsibility.
In our society, not only do the above unlawful situations exist, but every other person has begun to consider their use as his right.
