It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Hunaif (may Allah be pleased with him) that a blind man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Pray to Allah Almighty for me that He grants me well-being. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you wish, I will pray for you, and if you wish, I will delay it, and that will be better for you. He said: Please pray for me. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to perform ablution properly, then offer two units of prayer, and recite this supplication: "O Allah! Indeed, I ask You... O Allah! Accept his intercession for me." (O Allah! Indeed, I ask You and turn to You through Your Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy. O Muhammad! I turn to Allah Almighty with you regarding my need so that it may be fulfilled. O Allah! Fulfill my need, O Allah! Accept the intercession of Your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for me.)
