It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed the people and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: O people! No one has been given anything better in this world than perfect faith and well-being, so ask Allah Almighty for these two things.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … At this time, all those things which the people of the world consider to be better and sources of good, and for which they strive, all of them are destined to perish and slip away from their hands. If there is anything that will remain, it is perfect faith (iman-e-kamil) and righteous deeds (amal-e-salih). Undoubtedly, one should work for the world, but to be heedless of the demands of religion—this pain cannot be borne. One can manage without every expected and unexpected blessing of the world, but it is not possible to manage without perfect faith and righteous deeds, because the Hereafter depends on these two things. If someone is caught in difficulty in the Hereafter, then of what use will the blessings of the world be?
