It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I did not see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raising his hands excessively while supplicating, neither on the pulpit nor on any other occasion. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate by keeping his hands at the level of his shoulders and would point with his finger.
