Hadith 5593

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that comprehensive supplications were beloved to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and apart from these, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would leave the rest of the supplications.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Comprehensive supplications are those in which the goodness of both this world and the Hereafter is combined, and which encompass righteous aims and objectives. All the supplications transmitted from the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam are, in their respective contexts, comprehensive. An important example among them is: “Allahumma rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhab an-nar.” (Sahih Bukhari: 4522) (O our Lord! Grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire).
