Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah, while discussing this hadith, writes: Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir radi Allahu anhu narrates that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Supplication (du‘a) is worship.” Then he recited: {وَقَالَرَبُّکُمْادْعُوْنِیاَسْتَجِبْلَکُمْاِِنَّالَّذِیْنَیَسْتَکْبِرُوْنَعَنْعِبَادَتِیسَیَدْخُلُوْنَجَہَنَّمَدَاخِرِیْنَ} (al-Mu’min: 60), (Sahihah: under no. 2654), meaning: Supplication (du‘a) is worship itself. Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam recited this verse: “And your Lord has said: Call upon Me, I will respond to you. Indeed, those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell humiliated.”
