It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali that Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) complained to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) about the marks on her hands caused by grinding flour. When some captives were brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), she came to him to request a servant, but he was not at home, so she returned. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) came to us while we had already lain down. I wanted to get up for him, but he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Remain lying in your place. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) came and sat down, and I felt the coolness of his feet. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Shall I not tell you of an act that is better for you than a servant? When you go to bed, say Subhan Allah thirty-three times, Alhamdulillah thirty-three times, and Allahu Akbar thirty-four times.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … According to the narration of Sunan Abu Dawud, the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came and sat between the two of them; this demonstrates the informality and ease the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had with his own daughter and son-in-law. In reality, affection removes formality.
