(Third chain) With the previous chain, a narration similar in meaning to the previous narration is mentioned, except that in this one the words are as follows: So perform the ablution for prayer, ... recite this supplication at the end (that is, after this, remain silent and go to sleep). Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I recited this supplication to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and when I reached the words “with Your Book which You have revealed,” I said: “and with Your Messenger,” but he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, rather the words are: “and with Your Prophet whom You have sent.” In one narration it is stated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you die that night, you will die upon the natural disposition (fitrah), and if you remain alive until morning, you will attain much goodness.
