Hadith 5531

عَنْ عِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ الْمُسَبِّحَاتِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْقُدَ وَقَالَ إِنَّ فِيهِنَّ آيَةً أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَلْفِ آيَةٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Irbaad bin Saariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite the Surahs of Tasbeeh before sleeping and would say: In these Surahs there is a verse which is superior to a thousand verses.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Al-Musabbihat (the chapters of glorification) refers to those chapters of the Noble Qur’an in which {سُبْحَانَ، سَبَّحَ اور یُسَبِّحُ} appears at the beginning, and these are a total of seven chapters: Surah Bani Isra’il, Surah Hadid, Surah Hashr, Surah Saff, Surah Jumu‘ah, Surah Taghabun, and Surah A‘la.
