Hadith 5493

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever recites this supplication three times in the evening: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created," no poison will harm him that night. The narrator says: Our families learned this supplication and used to recite it; once a girl was bitten by something, but she did not suffer any harm from it.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … No poison will harm him; this has two possible meanings: (1) No poisonous creature will be able to bite him; (2) It may bite him, but he will not experience any harm from it. From the end of this hadith, the second meaning is established, that the girl was indeed bitten, but she did not experience any harm.
