Hadith 5478

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَكْثَرَ مِنَ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مِنْ كُلِّ هَمٍّ فَرَجًا وَمِنْ كُلِّ ضَيْقٍ مَخْرَجًا وَرَزَقَهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frequently seeks forgiveness, Allah Almighty will make for him a way out from every grief and a relief from every hardship, and will provide for him from where he does not even imagine.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is established from the following verses that the attainment of sustenance and deliverance from sorrows are among the benefits of seeking forgiveness (istighfar):
