It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qais bin Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him), who says: My father entrusted me to the care of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so that I could serve him. One day he came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and I had performed two units of prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I guide you to one of the gates of Paradise? I said: Yes, of course. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah" (There is no power to avoid evil and no strength to do good except by Allah’s help).
