Hadith 545

عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ يَزْدَادَ بْنِ فَسَائَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِذَا بَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَنْتُرْ ذَكَرَهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ))
It is narrated from Yazdad bin Fasa’ (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man urinates, he should squeeze his private part three times."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The correct opinion regarding Yazdad bin Fasa’ is that he did not attain the honor of being a Companion (sahabi), so his narration will be considered mursal. Imam Bukhari, Abu Hatim al-Razi, Abu Dawud, and other scholars have explicitly stated that Yazdad was not a Companion.
