عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ جُرَيٍّ قَالَ الْتَقَى رَجُلَانِ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَمْلَؤُهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ يَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبْرِ وَالْوُضُوءُ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ
It is narrated from Jari, he says: Two men from Banu Salim were companions; when they met each other, one said to the other that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Subhan Allah is equal to half the scale, Alhamdulillah fills the scale, and the reward of Allahu Akbar fills the space between the earth and the sky. Fasting is half of patience, and ablution is half of faith."
