It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a battle. When we would ascend to a high place or climb up and descend into a valley, we would recite the takbir loudly. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came close to us and said: O people! Be gentle with yourselves. Indeed, you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent, but you are calling upon One who is All-Hearing and All-Seeing. Indeed, the One you are mentioning is closer to you than the neck of your mount. O Abdullah! Shall I not teach you a word which is from the treasures of Paradise? That word is: "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah" (There is no power to avoid evil and no strength to do good except by Allah’s help).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Through this remembrance, a person expresses humility and submissiveness before Allah Ta'ala, acknowledging that when he performs righteous deeds and abstains from evil, there is no personal merit of his own in it; rather, it is happening through the support and divine enablement (tawfiq) of Allah Ta'ala. The reason for likening it to a treasure is that just as a treasure of wealth is something excellent and precious, similarly, this remembrance is also excellent, and its reward and recompense is that it leads one into Paradise.
