It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a woman made a vow to perform Hajj, but she passed away before fulfilling that vow. Her brother came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and inquired about this matter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What do you think—if your sister had a debt, would you pay it off? He replied: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then fulfill Allah’s debt as well, for He is more deserving that His debt be paid.
