It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that his sister had vowed to walk to the House of Allah, and he also mentioned her weakness. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely Allah, the Exalted, is free of need from your sister’s vow, so she should ride and offer a camel as compensation (dam).
