Hadith 5365

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا نَذْرَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكَفَّارَتُهُ كَفَّارَةُ يَمِينٍ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no vow in disobedience to Allah, and its expiation is the expiation of an oath.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From this hadith it is understood that the expiation (kaffarah) for a vow (nadhar) of disobedience must be performed. The expiation for a vow (nadhar) is the same as the expiation for an oath (qasam). Refer to the chapter of hadith number (5338).
