Hadith 5355

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have made a vow to slaughter my she-camel and to do such and such things. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: As for your she-camel, slaughter it, and as for such and such things, they are from Satan.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is possible that by “such and such things” is meant a vow (nadhar) involving disobedience (ma‘siyah), or a vow of such a nature that mentioning it is not appropriate; therefore, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam attributed them to Shaytan.
