It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever swears an oath in order to unlawfully seize a Muslim’s wealth will meet Allah while He is angry with him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse from the Book of Allah according to his statement: {إِنَّ الَّذِینَ یَشْتَرُونَ بِعَہْدِ اللّٰہِ … … Those who exchange Allah’s covenant and their oaths for a small price, they will have no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them.
