It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suwaid bin Hanzala (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We set out to meet the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and Sayyiduna Wa’il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) was also with us. On the way, he was captured by the enemy, and the people felt hesitant to swear an oath on his behalf, but I swore that he is my brother. Because of this, the enemy released him. When we came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and I told him the whole story, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among all of them, you are the one who fulfilled the oath the most and are the most truthful. You have spoken the truth, because a Muslim is the brother of a Muslim.
