عَنْهُ أَيْضًا مِنْ حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ فِي قِصَّةٍ آخَرَ رَجُلٌ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ وَيَبْقَى رَجُلٌ يُقْبِلُ بِوَجْهِهِ إِلَى النَّارِ فَيَقُولُ أَيْ رَبِّ قَدْ قَشَبَنِي رِيحُهَا وَأَحْرَقَنِي ذَكَاؤُهَا فَاصْرِفْ وَجْهِي عَنِ النَّارِ فَلَا يَزَالُ يَدْعُو اللَّهَ حَتَّى يَقُولَ فَلَعَلِّي إِنْ أَعْطَيْتُكَ ذَلِكَ أَنْ تَسْأَلَنِي غَيْرَهُ فَيَقُولُ لَا وَعِزَّتِكَ لَا أَسْأَلُكَ غَيْرَهُ الْحَدِيثَ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him. This is a lengthy hadith, in which the incident of the last person to come out of Hell is mentioned. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: One man will remain; when he turns his face towards the Fire, he will say: O my Lord! The foul air of the Fire has harmed me and its blaze has burnt me, so turn my face away from it. Then he will continue to supplicate to Allah Almighty until Allah says: Perhaps if I grant you this, you will begin to ask Me for something else? He will say: No, by Your honor! I will not ask You for anything else besides this... .
