Hadith 5254

عَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نِعْمَ مَا لِلْمَمْلُوكِ أَنْ يُتَوَفَّى يَحْسُنُ عِبَادَةَ اللَّهِ وَصَحَابَةَ سَيِّدِهِ نِعْمًا لَهُ
(Second chain) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best thing for a slave is that death comes to him while he is worshipping Allah in a good manner and also fulfilling his duties to his master in a good manner.

Benefits: … In the present era, the existence of slaves and slave-girls has come to an end; however, in the Shari‘ah, the instructions and rights pertaining to them still remain.
