(Second chain) A man came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! How many times should a servant be forgiven? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. He repeated the same question, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. When he asked the same question a third time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He should be forgiven seventy times a day.
