Hadith 5244

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet of Repentance (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever accuses his slave of something, while the slave is innocent of it, then on the Day of Resurrection, such a master will be punished with the prescribed punishment, unless the slave turns out to be as he had said.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Although a slave is under the authority of his master, this does not mean that the owner should begin to impose his will upon him in every matter. Both the slave and the master have their respective rights; if there is any shortcoming or excess from either side, there will be accountability on the Day of Judgment.
