Hadith 5233

(Second chain) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No master should say: "My slave (male) and my slave (female)," because you are all servants of Allah Almighty and all your women are bondwomen of Allah Almighty. The master should say: "My servant, my maid, my young man, my young woman."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Allah Ta'ala is our Lord and we are His servants. In these ahadith, the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) intended to clarify that these words should remain exclusively for Allah Ta'ala. Therefore, he commanded that no slave should call his master "rabbi" (my lord), and no master should call his male or female slave "abdi" (my servant) or "amati" (my maidservant).
