عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُوْتِرْ))
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When anyone performs istinja with stones, he should use an odd number."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From the ahadith of this chapter, it is understood that when performing istinja (purification after relieving oneself) with stones, their number should be odd. Further clarification will be provided in the next chapter.
