Hadith 5186

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that there is nothing which was more beloved to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) than horses. Then Sayyiduna Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Allah! Forgive me, no, rather women were most beloved to him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … “O Allah! Forgive” — by this, Sayyiduna Ma’qil radi Allahu anhu means that he made a mistake; the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not like horses the most, rather, he preferred wives. Indeed, the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had love for his wives.
