Abu Lubaid Lamazah bin Zubaar says: During the time of Hajjaj, there was a horse race. We said: It would be better if we reached the place of the competition. When we reached that place, we thought that if we went to Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him whether, in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), people used to set conditions for giving prizes, so we went to him and asked him this question. He said: Yes, I myself competed on a horse named Sabhah, and when I surpassed the people, I was pleased and this thing amazed me.
