It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) held a horse race. The race of the trained (tazmeer) horses was from Hafya to Thaniyyat al-Wada', and the race of the untrained horses was from Thaniyyat al-Wada' to the mosque of Banu Zuraiq. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was among the riders in this race, I outpaced the people, and my horse even jumped over the wall of the mosque of Banu Zuraiq.
